3D for Ancient Rome!

The 3D experience aims to introduce the player to what life would have been like on the Roman frontier by inviting the player to take part in an interactive story.

  • Implemented 3D model of Vindolanda with all important buildings (walls and towers, Principia, Praetorium, Vicus, Barracks, Horrea, Baths, Temple).
  • Created inventory, ability to pick-up items, created journal, ability to inspect items, cutscene system and interactive NPCs with branching dialogues and consequences, which are data driven.
  • Implemented main story to help the player to discover Vindolanda and side quests, which are based on Tablets found at Vindolanda. Quests are data driven.
  • Created additional systems including, saving and loading, gamepad support and characters list.
  • Main Menu with multiple options. Ability to add new languages, change graphics and audio settings.
  • Game save and load feature.
